THE BODY ARCHITECTS
HYBRID GAMES
Ordinary People. Extraordinary Challenge.
The Body Architects Hybrid Games is more than a fitness competition.
It is a community movement created to inspire everyday people to discover what they are truly capable of.
Designed for every level of athlete—from the first-time competitor to the experienced hybrid racer—the Hybrid Games combines functional fitness, strength, endurance, and determination in an exciting indoor competition environment that celebrates effort as much as achievement.
EVENT DETAILS
Venue: Kings High School Gymnasium, 270 Bay View Road, South Dunedin.
Dates: Saturday 19 & Sunday 20 September, 2026.
DIVISIONS
EVERYDAY ATHLETE
Your first hybrid race experience. Something fun and different to your everyday classes or training.
COMPETITIVE
Push your limits with elite-level standards in a hybrid competition that will utilise the training you are currently doing towards other hybrid races.

YOUTH ATHLETE
16-18 year-olds' first hybrid race experience. Rep your school and have some fun training with your friends.

This isn't about being the fastest or the strongest.
It's about stepping outside your comfort zone, challenging yourself, and experiencing the incredible feeling of crossing a finish line you once thought was beyond your reach.
Whether you're chasing a personal best, entering your first fitness event, or competing alongside friends, you'll be part of an atmosphere unlike any other—one built on encouragement, resilience, and community.
At The Body Architects, we believe extraordinary isn't reserved for elite athletes. Extraordinary happens the moment you decide to begin.
MORE THAN A COMPETITION
The Hybrid Games is also about creating opportunities beyond the competition floor.
Our inaugural event proudly supports local athlete (and our son) Nese Su'a as he pursues his dream of representing himself on the international stage through football showcase opportunities with Manchester City and Manchester United Youth Academies in the United Kingdom.
Every registration contributes to something bigger than race day.
Together, we're helping build confidence, strengthen our community, and support the dreams of others.
Because when a community comes together behind a common purpose, everyone wins.

If you would like to donate to help fund Nese's trip, we have started a Givealittle fund here:

WHY WE CREATED THE HYBRID GAMES
The Body Architects Hybrid Games were created because we believe fitness has the power to change lives.
Not simply by making people fitter or stronger, but by building confidence, resilience, friendships and a sense of belonging.
Too often, fitness competitions can feel intimidating or exclusive.
We wanted to create something different. A competition where first-time athletes stand alongside experienced competitors. Where encouragement is louder than ego. Where every finish line is celebrated.
The Hybrid Games is designed to challenge your body while reminding you that the greatest competition is often with the person you were yesterday.
Every athlete has a story. Every athlete has a reason for showing up. Every athlete belongs.
